She authored numerous cookbooks, including "The Rumford Complete Cook Book" and "The Lily Wallace New American Cook Book". Her recipes were known for their simplicity and practicality, making them accessible to home cooks.
Wallace also spent summers in Edgecomb, Maine, where she built a summer home and continued her culinary pursuits. Her work has left a lasting impact on American home cooking, and her cookbooks are still cherished by many today.
